Mother’s Day Food Drive

Mother’s Day Food Drive

Monday May 4th – Friday May 15th

Mother’s Day is almost here and many mothers in our community are having a hard time providing healthy meals to their children. To help fill the shelves at Hopelink (which are unusually low), Carnation Elementary is having a special Mother’s Day Food Drive.

This is how it works: Students bring in paper grocery bags from home and decorate the bags, making sure to include their teacher’s name on the bag. Then they start bringing items to donate. You can bring in can and boxed food. Also, since this is a drive for mothers, don’t forget items like shampoo, lotion, makeup, diapers, etc. When a bag gets full, take it to the display in the Multi-Purpose Room and tape a card with your teacher’s name to the thermometer. We are asking each class to try to fill at least four bags as a goal. Thanks for your help.
