FYI – I have just finished sending emails to students (parents, you are copied) who still have some work to wrap up from the first half of the week. That’s okay, because there is time to work on that Wednesday afternoon, but you’re welcome to follow up to make sure it gets done.  If you didn’t get a “Work to Finish up” email from me, then things are looking caught up. Wednesday would also be a great day to check in with your child on their Book Wheel, which is due at the end of the month.

9:25 – 9:55 Morning Meeting

• Journal Prompt: Would you Rather Wednesday! Come to the meeting to find out.
• TOPIC: Defining the parameters of our Would you Rather
• Review schedule

10:00 – 10:55 – Math Quest

Target: Learn/practice working together as a team to solve math problems.

Task: We will work as a whole class and in break out group with your Math Quest team

Morning Break (10:55 – 11:10)

11:10 – 12:10 – Self Directed Learners…

Target: Reflect on and improve my self-directed learner game!

Task: We will discuss (whole class & break out rooms) our understanding of being a self-directed learner and set some goals for the New Year.

Lunch (12:10 – 12:40)

12:40 – 2:20 Independent Work

Your Task: Work on tasks marked independent in on Today’s hub or any other task you’ve listed on your agenda. Good places to start are:

• Revise, Complete, Extend Node
• Mentor Sentence Work for Day 3
• Read, write or project for Book Wheel #2
• Complete tasks from Instructional Block 1 & 2

2:10 – 2:20 pm – Wrap up your day

• Did you complete all the work you were expected to? If yes, then celebrate! If no, do you need to keep working? Or will you add your tasks to tomorrow’s list in your agenda?
• THINK or WRITE – What is one thing to celebrate about your day today?
