Learning for Wednesday 2/17/2021

Here are notes for Wednesday. We do have a supply swap today at Carnation and if you can make it, that would be so lovely. Students should return their Kandinsky Dot art in their bags tomorrow and will pick up some supplies to begin a science observation.

Cheers!

-Ms. I

REMINDER: Supply bag swap is from 8 – 9 AM today at Carnation Elementary Only (No bus drop off).

Also, make sure that your Kandinsky Dot art from last week is in your bag so that I can put our collaborative piece together!

Today’s Schedule:

9:25 – 9:55 Morning Meeting

  • Wednesday Morning Check In (This will look familiar. We’ll mix it up tomorrow.)
  • TOPIC: Marie Curie Kahoot Take Three – if it doesn’t work this time, we’ll have to try something different.
  • Review schedule & Plan our day

10:15 – 10:55 – Math Talk

During out math talk we will learn and use patterns of divisibility.

Morning Break 10:55 – 11:10)

11:10 – 12:10 – Mixtures & Solutions

11:10 – Today, we will set up a solution to separate. You will need items from your yellow bag pick up this (Wednesday) morning.

Lunch (12:10 – 12:40)

12:40 – 2:20 Independent Work

Your Task: Work on tasks marked independent in on Today’s hub or any other task you’ve listed on your agenda. Good places to start are:

  • Revise, Complete, Extend Node (use the list inside this node to decide what you’ve completed and what still needs to get done).
  • Ben, this is a good time to complete Lesson 19 in Math
  • Specialist asynchronous tasks
  • Science (“Read Mixtures” and “Claim, Evidence, Reasoning 1.1”)

2:10 – 2:20 pm – Wrap up your day

  • Did you complete all the work you were expected to? If yes, then celebrate! If no, do you need to keep working? Or will you add your tasks to tomorrow’s list in your agenda?
  • THINK or WRITE – What is one thing to celebrate about your day today?

Something fun:

Looking for more to try? Or maybe a science twist on Easter Eggs? This could be really fun.
